Drew McIntyre is going through one of the roughest patches in WWE. While he signed a contract extension earlier this year, the Scotsman was robbed of his victories at WrestleMania 40 and Clash at the Castle by CM Punk. This denied him the chance of a long run as World Heavyweight Champion.

However, there is one industry that seems to be opening a new path for McIntyre. The industry in question is Hollywood. McIntyre is all set to make his Hollywood debut in the upcoming movie The Killer's Game. During an interaction with Irish Wrestling Podcast, The Scottish Warrior said:

"Dave called me and asked me if I wanted to be part of it. He had a conversation with the director about a couple of characters, who are hitmen, they needed someone who physically looked like they could take on Dave, that is Scottish and sometimes unintelligent when he talks with a bit of a comedic side and Dave says "I know that guy" he actually exists, he's called Drew." The Killer's Game will be released in theaters on September 13, 2024. Apart from Drew McIntyre and Batista, the movie will feature Scott Adkins, Sofia Boutella, and Pom Klementieff, to name a few. The movie is being directed by J.J. Perry, and this will be the second movie directed by him.

Wrestling veteran believes Drew McIntyre is on his way to another promotion

After CM Punk cost Drew McIntyre his opportunity at the World Heavyweight Championship, the Scotsman appeared on the following RAW and announced he was quitting WWE. While Triple H and Adam Pearce looked to stop him, their efforts went in vain. Later, McIntyre also took his social media down.

Legendary journalist Bill Apter believes Drew is on his way to joining TNA Wrestling. During an episode of Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Time Machine, Apter mentioned that McIntyre landing in TNA is a possibility due to the partnership between the two companies:

"Drew McIntyre has taken all his social media down. All of it. [...] I don't know if this is gonna happen but, I am gonnawhisper this. He may show up in TNA, and say that he signed a contract with TNA, that he is gone from there. Since they have this reciprocal deal going on with TNA wrestling, what a great spot to do that. Bring him into TNA, friendly territory." [7:25 onwards]

If what Apter said does end up happening, one can imagine the response McIntyre would get from the crowd present in TNA. However, before any of that happens, it will be interesting to see if the superstar or WWE gives us an update about Drew's future.
