CM Punk returned to WWE at Survivor Series 2023. His first televised match upon returning was the Men's Royal Rumble match where he, unfortunately, tore his right tricep. However, even though Punk wasn't medically cleared to compete, The Voice of the Voiceless continued appearing on weekly shows and cut fiery promos.

Punk's exit from WWE in 2014 was rather controversial with the company sending his release papers on the day of his wedding. No one thought he would actually return to the Titanland ever, but here he is, almost a decade later! Now, a new report has shed light on The Second City Saint's current contract with the promotion.

As per Ibou of WrestlePurists, Punk has signed a contract of three years, but it may get restructured.

"I believe it's three. I can tell you right now that he is in the process of trying to get his deal restructured from a money and years standpoint."

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

This week on red brand, the former AEW star announced that he is medically cleared to compete. The RAW's General Manager Adam Pearce then made CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre official for SummerSlam 2024.

CM Punk wants to be with WWE as long as possible

As mentioned above, The Voice of the Voiceless is reportedly looking to have his contract restructured. Apparently, the reason behind this decision is that Punk wants to be with WWE for as long as possible, possibly until he completely retires from the industry.

The same report revealed that CM Punk also showed interest in having a run on NXT.

"Punk's legitimate stance right now is, 'If all goes well I will never leave.' That's his legitimate standpoint. He wants to be here. Forever is the actual word he used. Basically, he wants this to work out, he wants to get paid, and then he wants when it's time to slow it down, to slow it down and just run NXT," the report noted.

Punk has been spotted at NXT and the WWE Performance Center, during his recovery from injury. Even though the reason wasn't explicitly mentioned, it is assumed that he is attending the shows to help the young talents.
