John Cena’s time in the squared circle is winding down, as the Cenation Leader has already announced his WWE retirement tour in 2025. With the new year approaching, Cena recently disclosed the number of dates he’ll work during his farewell tour. In a conversation with Collider, the veteran revealed that he will have 36 dates scheduled for his retirement tour with the Stamford-based promotion.

Cena mentioned that he will be occupied with his work on Peacemaker until the end of 2024. The 16-time World Champion also shared that he has provided his 2025 calendar to WWE, reaffirming his plans to retire from the company by the end of that year.

His farewell tour will begin in January and conclude in December 2025, during which Cena will express his gratitude to the WWE Universe around the globe. The tour will span a total of 36 dates, marking Cena’s final year in WWE.

"This is one thing I can give you—I can probably confirm the Peacemaker will take us to the end of 2024, and I can say that with the utmost conviction because I have given the calendar year 2025 to WWE. I am retiring in 2025, and I start that farewell tour in January and I'll end it in December. It's gonna be right around 36 dates around the world to pay thanks and gratitude to the WWE audiences around the world. So, that's what I'm doing in 2025," he said. [H/T: Collider]

John Cena's retirement tour is sure to be an emotional journey for the WWE Universe, as it will mark the final time we see Cena competing inside the squared circle.

John Cena could be engaged in a dream showdown during his retirement tour

John Cena's retirement tour could feature several dream matches that fans have long imagined, potentially including a showdown between Cena and Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship. A clash between the Ring General and the Cenation Leader is something fans have eagerly anticipated for quite some time.

Earlier this month, reports surfaced implying that a match between Gunther and Cena is envisioned to be part of Cena's retirement tour.

With Gunther currently holding the World Heavyweight Championship after defeating Damian Priest at SummerSlam this year, the possibility of this match being for the title is even more enticing.

Given Gunther's dominant reign, it seems unlikely that he will lose the championship anytime soon. If he retains the title into next year, fans could witness John Cena competing in one final World title match before his retirement.
