After Survivor Series, Bayley steps up to face Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women's Championship at Clash of Champions. Again, Rousey retains. After another title retention in a triple threat match on Raw against Banks and Bayley, Rousey decides to sit back and wait for her next challenger. She is showing heelish tendencies.

The Rowdy one sits at ringside along with Smackdown Women's Champion, Asuka and teases a match with her down the line. The both of them watch on as Charlotte Flair puts in a spectacular performance to win the second ever Women's Royal Rumble. It looks like Charlotte will pick Asuka in a role reversal of the previous year, but she stares right through Rousey. Matches for Wrestlemania with a two-month build feel much grander than the others, so it becomes official before Royal Rumble goes off the air.
