Steamboat: Hulk Hogan’s return to ring could prove to be a disaster rather than entertainment

Hulk Hogan

According to reports,Hulk Hogan wants another WWE match, at the last stage of his career which could possibly mean a blot at his legendary career.

The former WWE champion is gearing up for his come back to WWE and wants a title match against John Cena, which would be the dream match come true for the WWE fans.

A title clash between Hogan and John Cena would bring in a huge number of fans to see the match, but sadly could turn out to be disaster rather that entertaining considering the age of Hulk Hogan who seems to have far gone far beyond his wrestling-fit career at the age of 60.

In an interview with The Matthew Aaron Show, which was hosted by American actor and comedian Justin Willman , The WWE hall of famer has come back on his mind to wrestling as he believes he is fit enough to get back to the WWE ring.

“My goal is to perform in the ring again. It's not if, it's when because I've been training like crazy. The thing is, my back doesn't hurt at all. My back's perfect. You know, I finally got my back straightened out. Now, you know I'm really trying to get myself in that type of shape because if you get in that WWE ring, you got to bring it like The Rock says. You know, that last time I brought it, they were begging me to take it back.” Hogan said during the interview.

Hulk Hogan had his last outing three years ago, when he went on one-on- one with legendary Sting at Bound for Glory 2011, which wasn’t clearly an impressive wrestling match, inherently indicating a difference in the physical limitations of Mr. American on the stage.

While looking at retired wrestlers who have returned to the ring, Ric Flair, The nature boy in his comeback match against Shawn Michaels at Wrest mania 24, was disgraced and later on during his short stint at TNA proved to be unappealing.

Ricky Steamboat, a former WWE wrestler believes that it would better off if Hulk Hogan doesn’t wrestle again which could tarnish his legendary image.

"I've been there and done it against Jericho and I proved a point, so there's no sense in jeopardizing that. Everyone who saw me work that match said I did good for my age. They have a good memory of that and I'd like to leave it at that. They have a good memory of that and I'd like to leave it at that”, Ricky told FHM Malaysia’s Syed Rafie.
