Brock Lesnar's remarkable journey has made him one of the most renowned fighters in the history of combat sports. With his massive star power comes certain benefits, and he has allegedly made WWE switch up plans based on his convenience before.
On an episode of The Wrestling Outlaws podcast, Road Dogg revealed how Brock Lesnar refused to work with Jinder Mahal at Survivor Series 2017. Both men were scheduled to face each other in the Champion vs. Champion match, but Mahal lost his title to AJ Styles prior to the event. It was shared that the call to place the title with Mahal might have come from an idea to capitalize on the Indian market.
WWE Hall of Famer Road Dogg was asked whether he thought Mahal could have taken on the Beast Incarnate, to which he replied he didn't think so. Brock Lesnar has been a top contender in the industry for so long, and it was seen as a poor creative decision by the WWE Universe. In the end, Styles and Lesnar battled it out in an amazing match, with the latter coming out with the win after delivering an F5 to Styles.
"Brock said, ‘I’m not working with him.’ Look, he said that about several people, by the way. Brock’s on another level. And so if you get somebody else that’s on, like, I don’t know that he’s on another level in a way where he could carry a Jinder Mahal title match and make it look competitive. I don’t know that he’s on that level. But yeah, I don’t think Jinder could do it."
