Michael Elgin vs Marufuji

Elgin was tripped up by Marufuji but avoided a dropkick. Both men dodged each other's strikes, leading to a stalemate early on. They moved to the corner where Marufuji popped Elgin with chops to the chest.

Marufuji cranked Elgin's neck with his feet, but when he got back to his feet managed to catch the NOAH legend with an exploder suplex. Dumped to the outside, Marufuji was hit by a suicide dive. Back on the inside, a top rope dropkick sent Marufuji flying across the ring.

As Marufuji got to a vertical position, he and Elgin traded strong strikes. A handspring dropkick sent the Unbreakable One outside where a tope con hilo brought the big man to the ground. Elgin beat the ten count but was hit by a running elbow in the corner. A series of kicks left Elgin dazed, earning Marufuji a two-count.

Marufuji blocked a German and dragon suplex, then landed on his feet following a German suplex. Elgin bounced off the ropes and was met by a superkick. He sent his opponent into the ropes, using the momentum to finally hit the German suplex. In the corner, a huge clothesline almost sent Marufuji over the ring post. A Falcon Arrow gave Elgin a near fall.

The Elgin Bomb was blocked but Marufuji was sent into the corner with a vicious knee to the jaw. Marufuji responded by avoiding an attack in the corner, hitting a knee of his own. On the apron, Marufuji tried to bring Elgin down to the floor with a sunset flip powerbomb. Elgin held onto the ropes, but as he tried to counter, missed Marufuji, who caught him sitting with a leaping kick to the head. A Sliced Bread #2 left Elgin out on the floor.

The ref began the ten count, but Elgin came in at nine, where Marufuji was waiting. A springboard curb stomp nearly put Big Mike away. Elgin withstood another superkick but blocked a few moves of Marufuji, dumping him on his head with a dragon suplex.

Marufuji was battered with several elbow strikes but avoided the running clothesline. After both men blocked the other's heaviest strikes, Elgin finally hit a clothesline. A second one allowed him to connect with the Elgin Bomb. Miraculously, Marufuji kicked out.

A buckle bomb connected, but Mirafuji exploded out the corner with two leaping knees. A kick to the face through Elgin's legs set up for another knee strike to the back of the head. Sliced Bread #2 connected again, but Elgin kicked out.

Marufuji and Elgin traded elbows and chops again. The big man was met by a spinning heel kick and a leaping knee, but a second leaping knee was countered. Elgin spiked him with a powerbomb. Another massive lariat seemingly ended Marufuji's night.

Marufuji kicked out. Elgin launched him into the corner with another buckle bomb and hit a second Elgin Bomb. Somehow, Marufuji broke out. A spinning back fist from Elgin left Marufuji out on his feet. Elgin took him up to the top and hit the Burning Hammer. One, two, three.

Results: Michael Elgin defeated Marufuji via pinfall.
