Going into the big match, it was pretty obvious that Rich Swann was going to become the new IMPACT Wrestling World Champion, by defeating Eric Young and overcoming the odds, despite his injury but nobody could have predicted just how good the match was. On paper, it did not seem like the biggest match on the Bound for Glory card (everyone seemed a lot more hyped for the IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Championship match), but boy, did these two deliver! Eric Young is criminally underrated and it's a shame that nobody in WWE realized his true potential.

OKAY I AM CALLING IT.... Eric Young vs. Rich Swann is my FAVORITE singles match of 2020!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️#BFG2020
In Rich Swann's case, the emotions were real, when he was crowned the face of IMPACT Wrestling.
The locker room cleared out to celebrate with him and one has to commend Josh Mathews, Madison Rayne, and Don Callis (who was a very welcome addition to the IMPACT Wrestling commentary desk at Bound for Glory) for telling the story of all the hardships that Rich Swann has had to overcome on his way to the World Championship, making his win even sweeter.
