2019 has been an incredible year for IMPACT Wrestling. Television-wise, they've managed to keep a hold of fans who struggled to find them through their cable providers thanks to their Twitch channel. Along with that, a new deal with AXS TV opened them up to a larger audience than they've been able to access for some time.
Add that in with their incredible work with their constantly improving roster and some of the best storylines of the year, including the war between Tessa Blanchard and Sami Callihan, and the company has become must-watch for wrestling fans.
IMPACT has done well to bring themselves to as many homes around the world as possible, and they've taken another huge step in that regard.
IMPACT Wrestling announces deal with African broadcast station
In a recent press release, IMPACT Wrestling has revealed that they'll be available to even more fans across the world, thanks to a deal with e.tv, the first and only privately-owned free-to-air TV station in South Africa.
The multi-year deal will see the company's weekly shows, both IMPACT! and Xplosion, broadcast across 50 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, the release stated. Not only that, but IMPACT's four annual PPVs, IMPACT Plus presents events and library content.
CCO of Anthem Sports Ed Nordholm said about the deal:
"Africa has always been a strong market for IMPACT Wrestling, where our passionate fans continue to engage with our content on multiple platforms. We're thrilled to bring professional wrestling back to e.tv, where the sport has a long history and track record of success."
Starting this coming January, IMPACT's brand will air weekly on e.tv with specific programs getting rebroadcasted on e.tv's free-to-air satellite platform Openview.
