What's the story?
In last night's Bound for Glory pay-per-view, Alberto El Patron made his return to the Impact Zone.
In case you didn't know...
El Patron was suspended from Impact Wrestling and stripped of his title due to him being under investigation for a domestic violence incident in July of this year.

Alberto argued with a woman at the Orlando International Airport terminal and when things ''became heated'', police were called. No arrest was made and the investigation was still going on until recently.
The heart of the matter
El Patron got to the stage just as the announcers were saying he wasn't scheduled to come out at Bound for Glory. He then cut a ''shoot'' promo, where he blamed the management for suspending him. Then went on to say how he was stripped of the title and him not being paid despite investigations showing that he clearly did nothing wrong.
He then turned his attention towards announcer Jeremy Borash, where he said, Jeremy never reached out to him during Alberto's time away. He then made him apologize. Later in the night, in the main event, Alberto interfered in the match. He laid out both Eli Drake and Johnny Impact and then draped Drake over Johnny for the win.
What's next?
With what transpired in the main event, it's clear that El Patron is going for Drake's title and no one but him should be the number one contender. He will most likely be a heel following his actions.
Authors take
Alberto El Patron's return could either go very well or very badly, depending on how they handle the angle. Impact Wrestling should not have made the main event all about Alberto. It just did more harm than good. It made the title match seem secondary to him.
However, a feud with Drake means that it won't be a disappointment since the latter has been an entertaining performer in recent times.
