In case you didn’t know…

Sonjay Dutt has been competing in the sport of professional wrestling since 2000.

The Indian-American pro-wrestler has extensively performed for TNA (now-Impact Wrestling) and today serves both as a wrestler and a member of the promotion’s creative team.

The heart of the matter

Sonjay Dutt didn’t elucidate much as to how his Achilles injury came about, however, he did allude that planting his foot the wrong way possibly caused his injury.

Dutt asserted that he’s having to start off his 18th year in professional wrestling the wrong way, owing to a torn right Achilles.

Furthermore, Dutt thanked God that he’s alive and will be up to 100% in a while. The former X-Division Champion also urged everyone to stay safe and how even planting one’s foot can be dangerous.

What’s next?

Sonjay Dutt presently performs for Impact Wrestling. While Dutt is also part of promotional management, perhaps his obligations as part of Impact’s creative team will be fulfilled despite him being on hiatus from the eight-sided ring for a considerable amount of time.

Sportskeeda will keep fans updated on the comeback timeline of the high-flying Impact Wrestling star.

Author’s take

Sonjay Dutt has always been one of the most underappreciated talents in the sport of professional wrestling.

Dutt seems to have suffered an unfortunate injury, and for those unaware, Achilles injuries disallow athletes form resuming sporting competition until at least 6 months of rehab and rest.

Sportskeeda wishes Sonjay Dutt a safe & speedy recovery.
