What's the story?
As we reported earlier when it happened during the tapings, Tessa Blanchard successfully captured the Knockouts Title on the most recent episode of Impact Wrestling, which was titled ReDefined.
In case you didn't know...
Tessa Blanchard was in the first Mae Young Classic for WWE, and is widely regarded as one of the better female wrestlers in the world, plus she has the prestigious wrestling name from her father Tully Blanchard.
Blanchard made her Impact Wrestling debut in April and has since gone on to wrestle the likes of Allie, Kiera Hogan and Madison Rayne on the way to her first major title win at Impact Wrestling.
The heart of the matter
Tessa Blanchard found herself in a Triple Threat match for the Knockouts Title against Allie and then champion Su Yung on the ReDefined episode of Impact Wrestling. She successfully defeated them both to become the new women's champion on Impact.
It was a great little Triple Threat with some awesome moments, like Blanchard Press Slamming Su Yung into her undead bridesmaids
However, the finish came with Blanchard living up to her heelish ways. Allie had just hit Yung with her finisher and was about to win when Blanchard rolled her up and held her tights to pick up the three count.
As the tweet from Impact Wrestling says, the Knockouts Division is now officially 'Undeniable.' Although it's like that Su Yung will want her rematch before anyone gets carried away with a long title reign for Tessa. Still, she took to social media after the victory to say this.
What's next?
Presumably the aforementioned title rematch between Tessa Blanchard and Su Yung. Afterwards, I'd imagine that Allie will have some issues with how Tessa won this match and will stake a claim for the gold herself. One thing's for sure the Knockouts Division in Impact is great right now!
