IMPACT Wrestling Knockouts Tag Team Champions Fire 'N Flava were backstage asking anyone they saw who the best Knockouts tag team in history was. Two workers backstage couldn't answer, and before Tasha Steelz and Kiera Hogan could find anyone else to ask, they were met by Rosemary and Havok.
The Demon Assassin and Kaiju Queen of IMPACT Wrestling teamed up to lay out the champions, sending a message that they were coming for the gold. Hogan was dumped in the trash, and when she got out she noticed that there was a bag with the name "Mickie" on it.
Rhino w/Violent By Design vs Satoshi Kojima w/Eddie Edwards on IMPACT Wrestling
The War Machine of IMPACT Wrestling dropped Kojima with a shoulder tackle and shrugged off any offense from his legendary opponent in the opening moments. Kojima weathered the storm, though, and hit Rhino with an onslaught that forced him to the floor for the break.
When we came back, Rhino had taken over thanks to the advice of Eric Young. The IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champion rocked Kojima with continuous shots to the head before cranking his neck. Kojima fought out, again, firing up with a series of chops. A roaring elbow to the jaw dazed Rhino, but he cut off Kojima's offense again with a clothesline.
Kojima escaped a German suplex, countering with a DDT. The Koji Cutter dropped the big man, but Kojima couldn't capitalize as he was completely worn out. However, he did make it to his feet before Rhino and bashed the VBD member with the lariat.
Results: Satoshi Kojima defeated Rhino via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.
Grade: B
With that win, Kojima and Eddie Edwards have earned a shot at the IMPACT Wrestling Tag Team Champions, Violent By Design, next week.
Sami Callihan invaded the show at the end of the night, demanding to see Don Callis and IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Kenny Omega. Security ran to the ring, and Callihan threatened to crack the skull of every single man in the ring.
Scott D'Amore came out to calm down Callihan, stating that he'd already been trying to reinstate him since Against All Odds. The Draw of IMPACT Wrestling's instinct is always to fight, and D'Amore appreciated that. However, he needed Callihan to calm down. Sami, oddly enough, agreed and left D'Amore alone.
Don Callis emerged to rub Callihan's actions in his face. He said that he and D'Amore were too smart to deal with wrestlers, trying to appeal to Scott's ego. D'Amore wasn't having it and called out Callis for saving his nephew Kenny Omega. At that point, Tommy Dreamer came down to the ring.
Callis and D'Amore expected Dreamer to throw hands, but it turned out that Dreamer was the one Anthem sent to IMPACT Wrestling to deal with this issue. Dreamer said that he went to Anthem himself to set things right. Sami Callihan was reinstated, but somebody needed to be fired tonight. Callis and D'Amore were not working well together.
Personal relationships were put in front of IMPACT Wrestling's business, and it was time to handle that. Scott D'Amore thought he was the one losing his job, but it turned out that Dreamer was here to fire Don Callis. No longer IMPACT Wrestling's Invisible Hand, Callis stormed off claiming that Dreamer and D'Amore should be fired.
Callis ran into former IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Sami Callihan backstage, but Callihan promised he wasn't going to hurt him. No, not Callis. But he was going to bash Kenny Omega's brains in and make Callis watch.
