IMPACT Wrestling TNA World Championship Match: Jake Something vs. Moose (c)
Prior to the match, Jake Something ambushed Mr. IMPACT Wrestling. Throughout the entire break, Jake drove Moose into the ringside area and beat the TNA World Champion down. Still, Moose wanted more. Moose caught Jake with a clothesline in a corner, followed by a bullet-speed running dropkick.
Is this man the funniest man in wrestling?
Jake, clearly still worn down from his Tables Match at the top of the night, was facing an uphill battle in the IMPACT Wrestling main event. He sent Moose to the floor and even managed to redirect mid-air during a dive, landing on his feet on the apron.
Moose didn't let Jake recover, though, and bounced Jake chest first off the top turnbuckle. It only served to fire up Jake, who turned Moose inside out with a hellacious clothesline. The Michinoku Driver spiked Moose for a near fall. Jake ran in for his leaping shoulder thrust but was sent to the top of the corner for a dropkick from the champ.
Jake was taken down with a sky-high superplex, and Moose looked to end the night with the Lights Out Spear. Jake countered, popping Moose up for the sit-out powerbomb. 1-2-not enough to put Mr. IMPACT Wrestling down. The two powerhouses traded rights and forearms.
Moose caught a running clothesline with a Uranage. A second one followed up, as did a ripcord discus lariat. After that, the Lights Out cut Jake in half.
Results: Moose defeated Jake Something via pinfall on IMPACT Wrestling.
Grade: A+
After the match, Rich Swann saved Jake from a further beatdown. After security broke them up, it was revealed by Scott D'Amore that the two would face off for the IMPACT Wrestling World Title at Sacrifice.
