Madison Rayne vs Tessa Blanchard

Blanchard shoved Madison away, pie facing her twice. She then set her sights on Gail Kim who was sitting at the commentary booth. Rayne took advantage, sending her over with a snapmare and following up with a running elbow.

A tilt-a-whirl headscissors left Blanchard discombobulated, and she was sent outside with a top rope hurricanrana. With Kim at the table, Blanchard continued to keep her eyes on the Impact Wrestling Hall of Famer, allowing Rayne to keep the pressure on her.

Blanchard finally got on top, sending her neck first into the second rope. Driving a knee and a boot into her back, she picked up and set up for a back suplex. Rayne countered into a pair of roll-ups, nearly getting a pinfall. Blanchard stopped the third attempt with a straight kick to the gut followed by a suplex.

She locked Rayne down in the middle with a side headlock. When Rayne fought out, Blanchard tossed her outside to the floor. She then used Rayne to send a message to Kim, assaulting her in front of the announcer's desk.

Back inside, Blanchard prevented a comeback from Rayne, kicking her legs out from under her and tying her up in the corner. A codebreaker forced the ref to check on her while Blanchard stared daggers into the soul of Gail Kim.

Rayne managed to fight back to her feet and rolled Blanchard up with a schoolboy, connecting with a dropkick and enziguri afterward. A northern lights suplex gave her the two-count. Blanchard caught her, though, and drove her down face first with the full nelson facebuster. Up top, she looked for a crossbody. Rayne evaded and rolled her up with a crucifix pin. Again, Blanchard kicked out.

Rayne set up for the reverse DDT. Blanchard countered into a double slingshot suplex. Rayne kicked out and was placed on top in the corner. A superplex almost ended the match, but Blanchard took too much time to get to the cover. Furious, Blanchard went out for the chair. She told Kim that she meant absolutely nothing.

Kim wrestled the chair away from Blanchard, and as she turned back around Rayne rolled her up for the win.

Results: Madison Rayne defeated Tessa Blanchard via pinfall.

Though she wasn't successful in her first match back, a win over the former Knockouts Champion will help put Rayne back into the title picture. A few more wins like that and she could end up capturing her sixth Knockouts Title.

Blanchard verbally assaulted Don Callis and Josh Matthews at the desk as Kim and Rayne had already left before she was able to react.

Eli Drake and Eddie Edwards confronted the Lucha Bros backstage, asking for a title shot. Before they could get an answer, Pentagon Jr. and Fenix were attacked by LAX. Edwards attempted to beat them away with Kenny, but Drake pulled him off saying "we don't need it."
