Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are the current era's equivalent of The Rock vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin or Randy Orton vs. John Cena. The two fierce rivals collided in an epic WrestleMania main event that ended with Rhodes defeating Reigns to finish the story and winning the Undisputed WWE Title.

Despite their storied rivalry, Reigns and Rhodes will team up to battle common foes in Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu (The Bloodline) at Bad Blood. The American Nightmare is currently advertised for SmackDown.

Meanwhile, there is less clarity about Reigns' schedule, who works fewer dates. The Original Tribal Chief could make a surprise unannounced appearance on SmackDown.

Considering their current roles are inextricably intertwined, anything one person does impacts the other.

Let's look at four things Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes can do on SmackDown.

#4. Roman Reigns tells Cody Rhodes he's coming for the WWE Championship after Bad Blood

Reigns and Rhodes have joined forces only to take down Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline 2.0. When Sikoa and Fatu have been removed from the equation at Bad Blood, The Original Tribal Chief and The American Nightmare could settle their differences in the ring.

Crown Jewel is the next PLE after Bad Blood, and WWE books marquee matches for the Saudi Arabian events. Reigns could score a mental advantage on Rhodes by challenging him to a rematch from WrestleMania XL.

This would naturally take place after they have defeated The Bloodline 2.0. However, the OTC could make his intentions clear on the upcoming episode of SmackDown.

#3. Reigns and Rhodes remove Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa from the equation

Although Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes are two modern greats united for a common cause, the babyfaces are still outnumbered. Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu have Haku's sons, Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa looming in the background to hand them an unfair advantage.

The OTC and The American Nightmare could finish the numbers game on the upcoming episode of SmackDown. Sikoa could send his henchmen to take down the babyfaces only for Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa to be on the receiving end of a heinous assault that writes them off TV.

Alongside this, Reigns and Rhodes could systematically attack both men backstage, one at a time. This would level the playing field for Bad Blood.

#2. Kevin Owens takes issue with Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes

Kevin Owens has fought The Bloodline for multiple years. KO is the faction's arch-nemesis and has no love lost for the faction. Although he is united with Rhodes against Solo Sikoa and his friends, Owens has a long-standing rivalry with Roman Reigns.

The former Universal Champion is not a fan of the OTC, and thus, will take issue with Rhodes' alliance with Reigns. Furthermore, KO could also feel betrayed as The American Nightmare didn't ask for his help at Bad Blood.

These pent-up emotions could lead to Owens confronting Reigns and Rhodes on SmackDown. The segment does not have to end in a brawl, but WWE would be wise to leave fans guessing about KO's next move.

#1. Roman Reigns accidentally spears Cody Rhodes

If Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, and The Bloodline 2.0 are in the same building, chaos is likely to ensue. When rules are removed from the equation, the situation tends to blow out of proportion and allies inadvertently end up hurting each other.

Something similar could happen with The OTC and The American Nightmare on SmackDown. An all-out war could break out between the babyfaces and The Bloodline 2.0. Unfortunately, the segment could end with Rhodes accidentally getting caught in the middle of a spear.

Reigns infamously speared The Rock at WrestleMania XL: Night One, and he could accidentally do the same to Rhodes on SmackDown.
