What's the story?
A few years ago, CM Punk walked away from WWE and has never looked back since that day. He is in the midst of a career in UFC right now and despite a rough first showing, he remains positive for the future.
According to Jenn Decker, the woman who hosted the 'All In' press conference, CM Punk was backstage for the said event. She also hinted that Punk may be involved in the proceedings at All In, as reported by Cageside Seats.
In case you didn't know...
CM Punk was a renowned name in the independents before he came to WWE. After a pretty successful initial career, his success truly skyrocketed after what has come to be known as the 'Pipe Bomb'.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Punk has walked away from WWE and since his departure forayed into the world of Mixed Martial Arts. He lost to Mickey Gall in his debut MMA fight at UFC 223.
The heart of the matter
Without mentioning him by name, Decker indicated that Punk was backstage during the All In Press Conference in the Collider Bodyslam Podcast. While Punk is already supposed to be a part of the Autograph signing session at All In, rumours abound that he will be a part of the actual event at All In too.
It remains to be seen what role Punk will be involved in. If he actually does wrestle, then the crowd is in for a treat.
What's next?
CM Punk is scheduled to face Mike Jackson in UFC 225. This is a huge fight for Punk who needs a strong showing after losing his first ever fight. I'm certain this is his central focus at the moment.
Author's take
CM Punk's appearance can take this event to the very next level. I hope he is involved for the sake of professional wrestling fans worldwide.
Even WWE may have to sit up and take note if CM Punk does appear at All In.
