What’s the story?
At the recently concluded All In Press Conference, NWA owner Billy Corgan made a huge announcement when he confirmed the news that the historic NWA World Heavyweight Championship will now be defended at the first ever All In event later this year.
In case you didn’t know…
Earlier in 2017, ROH Superstar Cody Rhodes, along with his Bullet Club stablemates Matt and Nick Jackson, The Young Bucks, decided to organize a self-financed event called All In, which will seemingly seat a total of 10,000 people and, is likely to be one of the biggest Professional Wrestling events of all time.

The All In event is also likely to be the biggest game-changer for Independent wrestling history and could also potentially turn out to be the biggest Indy show of all time.
The heart of the matter
During yesterday’s All In Press Conference, NWA Owner Billy Corgan along with Cody Rhodes, and several other notable faces, confirmed the first match for the first ever All In show.
Corgan seemingly announced that ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes is now slated to challenge for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship at All In on the 1st of September.
Rhodes, who is currently engaged in an intense feud with Kenny Omega, will look to wrap some gold around his waist for the first time since he lost the Northeast Wrestling Championship to Flip Gordon, recently and, the ROH World Championship to Dalton Castle at Final Battle 2017.
What’s next?
Cody Rhodes’ All In event is slated to take place on the 1st of April, 2018 and ‘The American Nightmare’ could very well go toe-to-toe with current NWA Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis.
However, that things could possibly change from now to the 1st of September.
Author’s take
Cody Rhodes vs Nick Aldis has the potential to be an amazing match and personally, I’m absolutely stoked to see the NWA world alongside Rhodes’ All In event.
