What's the story?
The Bullet Club has a lot of really cool friends. Not only are they close to some of the top names in pro wrestling but they've made lots of fans out of Cracker Barrel waitresses as well.
Now one of Cody Rhodes' buddies is looking to help them out in a pretty big way because after debuting for The Bullet Club himself, Stephen Amell is trying to get The Bullet Club guys on his television show, "Arrow".
In case you didn't know...
Pro wrestling and acting go hand in hand. In many ways, pro wrestling is one of the final remaining remnants of theatre in the round. It also has a live-action stunt show aspect attached to it which makes it so thrilling. Therefore a Superhero television show seems like the perfect place for a bunch of pro wrestlers to have a ton of fun.
Heart of the matter...
While at the Heroes and and Villians Fan Fest in Atlanta, Stephen Amell said he’s spent some time with Cody Rhodes, Kenny Omega, and The Young Bucks and he is trying to get them on an episode of "Arrow."
Cody Rhodes has already appeared on Arrow as Derek Sampson on the popular CW show where his character was a drug dealer peddling a substance called "Stardust".
But Amell said he's trying to get other BC guys to come out to one of the shows much like the one Amell was appearing at as a group because he thinks it will be amazing. He said they're great to hang out with and have a special spirit about them which allows them to really create their own path in the world of pro wrestling.
I appreciate anyone that does something in an entrepreneurial spirit and those guys are really paving their own way. I mean, we would decimate them within one episode. They would be the group that we would foil in act one, and then figure out what the real problem was.”
He added, “If Sampson was ever gonna come back on the show, it would only make sense that he would be surrounded by his group of Bullet Club friends. That would be fun”
It might only be a matter of time before Cody's character Samson re-emerges on Arrow and brings along some of his Bullet Club buddies as henchmen.
What's next
As time goes on and The Bullet Club grows in popularity, who knows where we'll be seeing them next? If they only stop at one cameo appearance on Arrow it might surprise some people because those guys have the kind of audience that could set them up for way more in the future.
Author's take
Arrow is already a great show, but can you imagine how much better it could be if The Young Bucks, Kenny Omega, Marty Scrull, and Hangman Page suddenly walked on the screen surrounding Cody Rhodes as he played Samson? Yeah, it would be pretty epic and those guys might mean huge rating for the already popular Superhero themed show.
