WWE is the biggest pro wrestling promotion on Earth. This has been the case for a long time, but it is especially true today when no other company comes close to its global footprint. WWE is the industry leader in every sense.
Part of its success comes thanks to the entertaining characters on television. They aren't all basic gimmicks like in the past; the wrestling personalities are extremely entertaining and interesting, keeping fans coming back for more.
The best babyfaces in the company, such as Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest, and now Roman Reigns, were once villains. Fans cheered them for many reasons, but it mostly came down to their story arcs. Regardless of why they were cheered, it is clear that the heel-to-hero path was successful.
There may be other characters in the company who could follow a similar transition in the coming months. This article will look at four names who might be the most likely to go from heel to face before 2024 ends and we celebrate the beginning of 2025.
Fans drowned out a popular wrestler with 'She's a racist' chants recently
Below are four WWE Superstars who may turn babyface before 2025.
#4. Austin Theory has been teasing a babyface turn
Austin Theory is a successful WWE star. Since joining the main roster, he has captured the United States Championship twice. Theory is also a former Mr. Money in the Bank.
A-Town's Finest has never been a babyface on WWE's main roster. Be it while working with Vince McMahon, Grayson Waller, or on his own, Austin has always been an annoyingly smug character that fans can't stand.
That could be changing now, however. Grayson Waller and Austin Theory are showing signs of splitting up and Waller is certainly looking to be the heel in the situation. This means A-Town's Finest will likely become a babyface sooner rather than later.
#3. Asuka could return to WWE television as a babyface
Asuka is one of the greatest female stars in WWE history. She had arguably the best NXT Women's Championship reign of all time and has since gone on to become a multi-time world champion on the main roster.
The Empress is, unfortunately, not currently on WWE television. While information is vague, she suffered some kind of injury to the leg earlier this year. This is a shame, as Damage CTRL had been gaining plenty of momentum.
When Asuka returns, however, she will come back to a whole new Damage CTRL. The stable is now a babyface one, which means Asuka will likely make her comeback as a babyface too. Provided she returns to the ring in 2024, she will almost certainly turn babyface before 2025.
#2. Bron Breakker acknowledged Sami Zayn on RAW
Bron Breakker is the future of WWE. While on NXT, he won the top prize on the brand on two separate occasions. He also held the NXT Tag Team Titles. Since joining the main roster, he has won championship gold there too.
The Big Bad Booty Nephew is the reigning Intercontinental Champion after he defeated Sami Zayn for the title at WWE SummerSlam. He successfully retained the gold against The Underdog From The Underground on RAW last night.
Interestingly, the two had a bit of a stare-down after the match. While neither man outwardly showed respect for the other, there was some kind of acknowledgment. This could indicate that Bron is gaining respect and earning respect, which could mean a babyface turn is coming.
#1. Jacob Fatu could switch sides in The Bloodline saga
The Bloodline has shifted the way it presents itself quite a bit in 2024. In the first quarter of the year, the faction featured Roman Reigns, The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and Paul Heyman. That has since changed.
Solo Sikoa now runs the faction, joined by Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu. While all four stars have made an impact in WWE, it is Jacob Fatu who many fans believe is the future of the company and the industry as a whole.
Fans cheer the big man thanks to his incredible feats of athleticism and his impressive charisma. It feels like a babyface turn will happen sooner than many realize and this could mean before 2024 comes to a close. Could he even switch sides and join Roman Reigns to try and take down Solo Sikoa? The move would be huge in getting the audience behind him.
