As we are getting closer to SummerSlam, only two matches have been made official so far. The first one will see Damian Priest put his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against King of the Ring Gunther, while the other one will see reigning WWE Women's Champion Bayley take on Queen of the Ring Nia Jax.
More matches are expected to be added to the match card, and the July 15 edition of Monday Night RAW could see three more matches get an official confirmation. Let's take a closer look at the possibilities of the same.
#3. Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
This match has been in the making for months. Punk has cost McIntyre the World Heavyweight Championship four times since WrestleMania 40 and the two megastars continue their feud. They have still not faced each other in the ring one-on-one as The Best in the World is yet to recover after a torn triceps surgery in late January.
Still, WWE officials are hopeful that he will be medically cleared to compete at SummerSlam eventually, so it will not come as a surprise if RAW GM Adam Pearce makes the match official this Monday.
In addition, there is also the possibility that Seth Rollins could be added to the match, making it a Triple Threat Match. Rollins has been feuding with McIntyre since before WrestleMania, while he re-ignited his feud with CM Punk a couple of weeks ago.
Adding The Visionary to the match at The biggest Party of the Summer could be the first step for WWE to promote the Rollins/Punk feud, which is expected to be extended through WrestleMania 41 in April 2025.
#2. Sami Zayn vs. Bron Breakker
This will be a rematch from the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event, where Sami Zayn successfully defended his Intercontinental Championship. Breakker assaulted his opponent last Monday and made it clear he still has his sights set on becoming champion at SummerSlam.
Fans can expect Sami Zayn to fight back this week, thus a match between the two at SummerSlam should be added to the match card as early as this Monday.
#1. Rhea Ripley vs. Liv Morgan
Three months after sustaining a shoulder injury, Rhea Ripley came back to WWE RAW last week and targeted the reigning Women's World Champion Liv Morgan. Morgan was the one who injured The Eradicator during the RAW after 'Mania and sidelined her for three months.
Their feud has now become personal, though, and we expect more fuel to be added this Monday when Rhea Ripley will make her intentions clear, as she has her sights set on re-claiming the title she never lost.
Thus, Adam Pearce should make this match official and the question will be whether any stipulation will be added. Based on what we have seen so far, it wouldn't come as a surprise if there was a No Disqualification Match or a Steel Cage stipulation for this bout.
It will also be interesting to see what role Dominik Mysterio will play in this rivalry, as he has been linked to both stars, while Rhea Ripley will also address the future of The Judgment Day after her return.
