In January 2016, they performed in front of a roaring crowd, as they teamed up to defeat American Alpha in an exciting match. Almost 2 years later, Jeet Rama and Kishan Raftar were just as excited to face the team of Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel, in front of their home audience.
Both of India's representatives at the WWE Live Performance Center were really pumped going into their big match. We caught up with them, ahead of their showdown at WWE Live India. To find out how they fared, check out our live results here.
Q. Last year, you faced American Alpha in your home country, in a winning effort. This year, you face The Miztourage. What difference in game plan do you expect?
Kishan Raftar: I'll tell you what won't be different. The result.
Jeet Rama: (Laughs) That's right. See, every wrestler has a different style. American Alpha had a different style, and our current opponents have a unique style of their own. But our style is unique too. So, the bottom line is that the result will remain the same.
Q. Who's your dream opponent in WWE right now?
Kishan Raftar: My dream opponent is whoever has the belt. I think 'Pahalwan Ji' (Jeet Rama) feels the same.
Jeet Rama: Yes, that's right. Whoever has the championship is our dream opponent. The fun's always in defeating the champion.
Q. Let me make it more specific then. Would you prefer to face AJ Styles or Brock Lesnar?
Kishan Raftar: I would prefer Brock Lesnar.
Jeet Rama: Me too. Brock Lesnar.
Q. What do you think of Mae Young Classic contestant Kavita Devi and her potential in sports entertainment, going forward?
Kishan Raftar: She has a great opportunity. Being the first woman wrestler from India is a very big deal. If she works hard, she'll go a long way.
Q. What are your thoughts on the Triple H vs. Jinder Mahal match, in the main event? Any predictions?
Kishan Raftar: I think it's going to be a very tough match and I'm definitely with Jinder Mahal, because he's Indian.
Jeet Rama: Let's see what happens. We're with Jinder Mahal, all the way.
Q. So, when you faced Jason Jordan last year, did you know he was Kurt Angle's son?
(Everyone laughs out loud together)
Kishan Raftar: No, it was a mystery.
Jeet Rama: Even he didn't know back then (everyone laughs).
