WWE Superstar Brock Lesnar has been out of action since August 2023. His last match before his long absence was against Cody Rhodes at last year's SummerSlam.
Since then, fans have speculated about the whereabouts of The Beast Incarnate, with some even wondering if he has retired from WWE. The answer is no. Lesnar has not retired and is still listed on the roster page of the company's website.
However, his return to action may not be straightforward. Lesnar's name was alluded to in the Janel Grant lawsuit, which was filed earlier this year against Vince McMahon and WWE, alleging sexual trafficking and misconduct against the former company chairman. As a result, reports have indicated that Lesnar will need to be cleared by the Stamford-based company's legal team before making any potential return to the ring.
Brock Lesnar could win the 2025 Royal Rumble Match, according to WWE analyst
A dream matchup that fans have been anticipating for a long time is a potential clash between Brock Lesnar and the current World Heavyweight Champion, Gunther.
According to Sam Roberts, if the company plans to build a program between The Beast and The Ring General, it would likely take place at WrestleMania 41. Roberts suggested that for this to happen, Lesnar would need to win either the 2025 Royal Rumble or the men's Elimination Chamber Match to earn his shot at the World Heavyweight Championship.
"If you're gonna have Brock and Gunther, I'd think WrestleMania. I mean, personally, I've already got, I don't even have it in my head anymore because I've got Gunther and John Cena for WrestleMania. But if you're gonna do Gunther and Brock at WrestleMania, I don't know, I mean, Brock would just win the Chamber or the Rumble, right?," Roberts said.
The 2025 Royal Rumble next year is set to take place on February 1 at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana. It will be interesting to see what the Stamord-based promotion has planned for Brock Lesnar moving forward.
