Dolph Ziggler

It’s been weeks, rather months, since reports about Ziggler facing heat by the WWE management came out. The reason for this was reported to be some of his responses during an interview leading to Summerslam. Since then Ziggler went from being a former World Heavyweight Champion to being involved in a minor feud with Langston and AJ. He went on a bit of a losing streak. After that he came as a panel expert on one of the Pay Per Views. Ziggler not being on a match card might have been a first this year. Then, to further take things down by a notch, he became a salesman for WWE merchandise on television.

But this trend seems to be over lately. He won a match against Curtis Axel last week and then lost a title match against Axel, a week later. This week he won a ‘Broadway Brawl’ against Damien Sandow. Two Money In The Bank Winners who deserve much, much better than what they are made to do, were involved in a fight reminiscent to the Attitude Era where using instruments was nothing new. The match was nothing too spectacular but the two made the most of it and did the best that they could have. But it is just a bit too much suffering on the part of Damien Sandow’s character. He just lost an opportunity of a lifetime while cashing in his Money In The Bank Contract and lost to Cena. It’s quite difficult to understand how his recent loss is supposed to recover him from that defeat from Cena.

But even though it was a match that might not lead to a meaningful feud between the two, it was great to see Ziggler pick up a victory. Ofall the heels that have turned face in the past year, only Ziggler seems to have fit that role quite well. He gets some of the best reactions whenever he’s out and whenever he is involved in a match it is hard not to react to every move that he does or sells.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Now that Ziggler looks like he’s on the verge to recovery from the arbitrary whims and fancies of the WWE higher ups, he should be back to where he belongs and that involves fighting for championships and being in the main event. Ziggler is one superstar who’s overcome many odds including being a cheerleader and a caddie. He deserves his talent’s worth. The sooner WWE realize this, the better.

Though the WWE is not low on talent. The young breed of superstars that include The Shield, Bray Wyatt and Cody Rhodes are great options for the future but Ziggler, who got one of the biggest pops in the WWE when he cashed in his MITB contract and won, deserves to flourish in the present.

So is he out of the doghouse? It’s about damn time!
