WWE star and Chief Operating Officer Triple H has in his recent RAW interview with Michael Cole, revealed the reason behind giving his nemesis Roman Reigns a shot at the WWE World Heavyweight title.
Triple H had recently informed newly-crowned WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena, that he would have to defend his belt soon. And to pile further odds on the Money In The Bank hero, Triple H lined up Kane, Randy Orton and Roman Reigns against Cena in a Fatal 4-way encounter. This epic clash would be witnessed at the Battleground PPV on Sunday, July 20.
Giving Kane and Orton a shot at the title makes sense, since they are close allies of The Authority. But why Roman Reigns? Explaining the reason behind his choice, Triple H said: "It's what the WWE Universe wants, isn't it, Cole? You hear the reaction Roman Reigns gets. I mean I look at it like this, in some ways it's best for business. I give Roman Reigns an opportunity to become WWE world heavyweight champion. I know John Cena knows how bad Roman Reigns wants to be champion. I've seen the look in his eye so I know that Cena's seen the look in his eye. I also know that Cena's well aware of how popular Roman Reigns is. That's a collision course. If I was John Cena and I was looking across the ring at three guys that hungry to be in my shoes and I don't even have to get beat to lose what I have... that... that is the hard way."
Cole enquired the Authority member about the 'Plan B' that he had earlier mentioned in RAW. Triple H had come up with a masterclass of a Plan B when he broke up The Shield. On July 2 episode of Raw, Seth Rollins turned against fellow Shield members Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose to join hands with the Authority.
And when asked about if any more such Plan B are in store, Triple H proved that he is always numero uno. The 5-time World Heavyweight Champion confirmed that he is always one step ahead of everyone. Talikng about any further Plan B in store, he said: "Plan B" might happen on RAW, Main Event or SmackDown, you never know. The plan is already there and I know it. When it goes into effect, nobody else will see it coming."
So does Triple H have another ace up his sleeve as Battleground approaches? Only time will tell what The Game has in store.
