Kairi Sane is a Japanese wrestler who performs on RAW as a component of the Damage CTRL stable. She formerly held the WWE Women's Tag Team Title two times. Before WWE, she wrestled in the Japanese promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom as Kairi Hojo, where she came out on top for the Wonder of Stardom Title, Artist of Stardom Title, World of Stardom Title, Goddess of Stardom Title, etc. Kairi joined WWE in 2017 and later won the Mae Young Classic and became NXT Women's Champion the following year.

She appeared on the main roster in 2019 as a component of The Kabuki Warriors, bringing home the Women's Tag Team Title and procuring honors for their performances. Kairi won Female Competitor of the Year in 2018 and Women's Tag Team of the Year with Asuka in 2019. Kairi left WWE in 2020, got back to Japan, and later joined New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) and Stardom before at long last getting back to WWE as a free agent in 2023 Crown Jewel.

Kairi Sane presently performing on the red brand as a heel character. She started being a heel on November 4, 2023, and continued to be so as of May 2024. In her professional wrestling career, Sane has turned heel to face and vice versa many times according to the storylines. Various promotions where she worked such as World Wonder Ring Stardom, NJPW, etc. have seen her on-screen persona transformations.

Face (January 7, 2012 to November 15, 2016)

Kairi Sane debuted as a face character in World Wonder Ring Stardom. She took the face persona on January 7, 2012, and continued with the character till November 15, 2016. She became a founding member of the team Zenryoku Joshi as a face. As a face, Sane won her first title, the Goddess of Stardom Title with Showzuki. Her second title, Artist of Stardom Title, which she won in 2013 under the same persona. She won the World of Stardom Title for the first time in her career as a face in 2015. She won Artist of Stardom for the second time as a face with Io Shirai and Mayu Iwatani. Sane won the Wonder of Stardom Championship on the fourth attempt during her face character.

Heel (November 16, 2016 to November 30, 2016)

Kairi Sane turned heel on November 16, 2016, which lasted a few days and ended on November 30, 2016. During this time, she beat Shirai and Mayu Iwatani along with her tag team partner Yoko Bito. She won the Goddesses of Stardom Tag League 2016 as a heel.

Face (December 1, 2016, to October 27, 2019)

During this time Sane won the Goddess of Stardom Title with Bito. She also won the Artist of Stardom Title for the third time with Hiromi Mimura and Konami as a face character. She debuted for WWE as a face and beat opponents like Tessa Blanchard, Bianca Belair, Dakota Kai, Toni Storm, and Shayna Baszler to earn an opportunity at the NXT Women's Title.

Heel (October 28, 2019 to May 10, 2020)

She went on to beat Shayna Baszler to grab her first major WWE Title, NXT Women's Title which she held for 71 days. She won the Women's Tag Team Title for the first time as a heel in Hell in a Cell with Asuka which they defended in a TLC PPV event.

Face (May 11, 2020 to July 27, 2020)

She worked as an ambassador and trainer in WWE's branch during this time in Japan. Sane was also a member of the Japanese-language commentary team as a face character.

Face (February 18, 2022 to November 3, 2023)

Kairi Sane again won the Artist of Stardom title along with Natsupoi and Saori Anou as a face and lost the title after 34 days. She won the inaugural IWGP Women's Title as a face in NJPW. She moreover won the WWE Women's Tag Team Title for the second time as a face character.
