The mystery surrounding Kevin Owens' WWE contract remains as his tenure with the Stamford-based promotion approaches expiry. Many fans are confused over whether KO is still under a WWE contract. The answer is yes.

Owens is still under contract, but his tenure with the company is expected to expire by early 2025. There is also no update on The Prizefighter's signing of a new contract. However, it is believed that the company will retain KO as he is one of the top superstars today.

On Fightful Select's podcast, Sean Ross Sapp stated that he hasn't been told "outright" about Kevin Owens' re-signing, but "it's safe to assume at this point." He had signed a multi-year deal with the Stamford-based promotion, and in the past four years, Owens has main-evented WrestleMania twice. This bears testimony to Triple H's faith in Kevin Owens.

However, Hunter is anguished at Owens after his actions at Saturday Night's Main Event. The latter ended the night on a terrible note for Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes, as KO attacked Cody from behind and executed the banned package piledriver on him. KO also has Cody's Winged Eagle belt, which he stole after beating Rhodes.

Triple H confronted Owens right at the entrance ramp when he was walking out with Cody's belt. The WWE CCO pushed Owens, but an unapologetic and incensed KO also pushed Triple H. The visuals made many fans wonder whether Triple H would fire Kevin Owens. However, no decision has been made yet.

Kevin Owens showed up at WWE Headquarters on the kick-off show of RAW's debut episode on Netflix

Owens surprisingly appeared at WWE headquarters during the kick-off show of RAW on Netflix. The Prizefighter trespassed the security and came with Cody's Winged Eagle belt.

Owens interrupted Michael Cole and criticized the management for not inviting him to the event. He then continued calling himself the WWE Champion, arguing that he should be acknowledged for his achievements. Before Owens could continue his rant, his mic was cut off, and security escorted him out.

It is unclear whether he will face Cody Rhodes again at the Royal Rumble next year. Rhodes was reported to have suffered axial compression of the cervical spine and cervical strain with a spasm. It remains to be seen if he will return for RAW's debut episode on Netflix on January 6, 2025.
