There was speculation that the legendary Stone Cold Steve Austin could show up at the RAW premiere on Netflix on Monday, January 6. This date marks a new era for WWE, and the expectation is that several WWE megastars will be in attendance.
However, there is a disappointing update on Stone Cold Steve Austin's availability for the RAW premiere on Netflix, meaning that the former WWE Champion may not appear on the premiere episode on the global streaming platform.
"As of now, the discussions 'fell apart, and he can't make it.' There is a possibility that discussions can resume, but it's a no for now. If anything changes between now and before the show, I will be sure to update," Chris Featherstone of Sportskeeda posted on X.
Even if he doesn't show up on Monday, Stone Cold Steve Austin could be part of The Road to WrestleMania, which officially kicks off on Monday, and make a guest appearance at WrestleMania 41.
Despite Stone Cold Steve Austin's absence, other WWE legends set to appear on RAW on Netflix
Even though Stone Cold Steve Austin may not be part of the RAW premiere on Netflix, barring any last-minute changes, several other WWE legends like Hulk Hogan and Shawn Michaels have been reported to appear at some point in the show.
Meanwhile, The Rock also confirmed his presence for the event, and The Final Boss is expected to have a key role on The Road to WrestleMania. The WWE legend could interfere in the Tribal Combat match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa, which is expected to settle the rivalry between the two feuding family members. However, interference from The Final Boss could create new angles in The Bloodline civil war and could set the stage for a likely matchup with The OTC at WrestleMania 41.
The RAW premiere on Netflix will also see the final part of the mega-feud between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, with the Women's World Championship being on the line.
The match that will reportedly main event the show is the battle between CM Punk and Seth Rollins, a match 10 years in the making, with their rivalry seemingly set to extend through WrestleMania 41.
