It has been nearly a year since Charlotte Flair last showed up in WWE. She suffered a serious knee injury last December that required surgery and had to make a full recovery. She is now seemingly in the final stages of her rehabilitation and reportedly could be back by the end of the year.
WWE Creative has discussed plans for her, but it is still unclear what direction she will take upon her return. With that in mind, we take a look at three things Charlotte Flair could do if she comes back on SmackDown.
#3. She could be revealed as Jade Cargill's mystery attacker
Jade Cargill has been out for two weeks now following a backstage assault, which led to multiple injuries. It is unclear who attacked her, while WWE has ruled her out indefinitely.

Amid speculation that her injury is legitimate, Charlotte Flair could return as a heel and reveal that she was the one who assaulted Jade Cargill backstage. That way, she would start a feud not only with Cargill, but Bianca Belair, too.
The EST of WWE could come to the ring and confront The Queen, going after her until Cargill is back from her injury. WWE could plan a Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill match at WrestleMania 41.
#2. She could challenge Tiffany Stratton for the Money in the Bank briefcase
Tiffany Stratton won the Money in the Bank briefcase back in the summer, but has yet to cash it in either on her good friend and Women's Champion Nia Jax or the Women's World Champion Liv Morgan.
Stratton is in search of a new storyline, and a feud with Charlotte Flair could be next for her. Tiffany has done a great job as a heel and has emerged as a top star in the Women's Division.
A feud with a WWE legend in Charlotte could help her get another push by WWE Creative, but this time, the Money in the Bank briefcase could be on the line. Since Stratton is a heel, The Queen could come back as a face and get involved in a feud with Tiffany Stratton until the first Premium Live Events of 2025.
#1. Charlotte Flair could go after Nia Jax right away
After Survivor Series: WarGames, Nia Jax is searching for her next opponent. Unless Tiffany Stratton has a face turn and turns on her best friend, there are no new opponents for The Irresistible Force, meaning that she could have another title match against Bayley, Naomi, or Michin.
Bianca Belair could also emerge as a title contender should she have to vacate the Women's Tag Team Titles, while Charlotte Flair could have a face turn and interrupt Nia Jax's promo on SmackDown, emerging as the next challenger.
When the match would happen is unclear, but WWE could extend their feud for weeks, so the two could face each other in the first major premium live event of 2025, the Royal Rumble, which will take place on February 1.
With that in mind, this Friday night could shake things up on SmackDown, and a Charlotte return could create new storylines.
