- Last night, the WrestleCade IV event took place in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. At the event, a match took place between Jeff Jarrett and Matt Hardy for the WrestleCade World Championship.
In what was a very physical and intense encounter, Jeff Jarrett emerged victorious by becoming the second WrestleCade Heavyweight Champion. Matt was badly hurt during the match and ended up getting busted open. Global Force Wrestling was featured during this WrestleCade weekend. Looking at this, it seems that GFW and WrestleCade have a healthy working relationship.
It was quite interesting to note that this is only the first time that Jarrett and Hardy fought each other in their careers. This was something many of us would not have expected. During the closing moments of the match, Jarrett hit Hardy with a guitar on the head and that caused a cut on the head of Matt.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
It was quite astonishing that after the huge impact the guitar made on Matt’s head, nothing happened to the guitar but that busted open Matt’s head. He eventually lost the title and was helped back by the medical team.
Have a look at some of the photos from the show-
- There is something very interesting to note about WWE trainer Sarah Stock and new WWE talent Manuel Alfonso Andrade Oropeza (La Sombra). Sarah Stock was an International Women’s wrestling star and she is now a trainer at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando. La Sombra on the other hand worked earlier for the New Japan Pro Wrestling and has recently signed with the WWE.
La Sombra is now 26 and it was noted that he dated Sarah at the age of 19. Things got all the more interesting after it was known that Sarah would be helping La Sombra in the coming days in his endeavours to learn English.
New Japan Pro Wrestling owner, Takaaki Kidani was absolutely upset with this move. He told that he never expected that La Sombra would sign with WWE. As far as he was concerned, Sombra signing with WWE was a “massive shame” and he chose it over NJPW and CMLL.
It was also known that Sombra gave his notice to CMLL officials in Mexico in August itself.
