- Reports are coming in about WWE Hall of Famer and current announcer on SmackDown Jerry Lawler being involved in a car accident last night. The incident was first reported by wrestler Jamie Dundee, who posted on Facebook that Lawler’s son Brian Christopher contacted him with the news.
Dundee later confirmed that Lawler was fine but his girlfriend Lauryn had a banged up knee and a swollen face. More reports are awaited, and we will update it as and when it becomes available.
The last time Lawler had a health scare was in 2012, when during an episode of RAW, he suffered a heart attack. It was a close call and because of the medical attention that WWE employs at ringside at all times, his life was saved.
- The LA Times reports that WWE Hall of famer Bret Hart is looking to sell off his home in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii and the price has been listed at $705,000. Initially, the price was listed at $725,000 but has since been lowered.
The house is said to have been brought by Bret back in 2004 for $675,000, and includes 2,064 square feet of living space, a wet bar, a center-island kitchen, an office, three bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Hart, who suffered a stroke in 2002, had purchased the house in Hawaii, to escape the harsh cold in Canada, which tends to be hard on the bone structure.
- TNA continues to see attrition among its staff, as Director of Touring, Mike Krewson has reportedly left the company. Mike had been with the company from 2008 until 2013, when he took a break to join another promotion, but he returned to join back in 2014 till now.
Krewson was responsible for booking and managing TNA’s live events, handling logistics and working with the arenas. The departure of Krewson could indicate the slowing down of TNA on the touring in 2016.
While this may not necessarily mean that TNA is done touring, it could mean that the company gets choosy as to which dates it needs to tour on.
