Jey Uso's reconciliation with Jimmy Uso and Kevin Owens' Crown Jewel match with Randy Orton being booked had fans talking after SmackDown. They are two of the biggest storylines in the company and could merge due to one star in particular.
Sami Zayn is often considered the man in the middle when it comes to the tension between Jimmy and Jey Uso. He warned Jey on RAW tonight about the ex-Intercontinental Champion making up with Jimmy. The Canadian star was told he wouldn't understand because he isn't family, a comment that could result in Zayn turning heel.
The Original Bloodline was initially made up of family members, with Roman Reigns leading Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso, and Jey Uso. Zayn came further down the line as the Honorary Uce, who soon won over the rest of the group.
Sami Zayn's warning tonight stems from a past year of issues with Reigns' Bloodline. He knows all too well how trusting the OTC and Jimmy can end in disaster.
Kevin Owens is another star who had his problems with Reigns' Bloodline. The Prizefighter's recent heel turn came from his issues with Cody Rhodes teaming with the Original Tribal Chief.
Thus, KO and Sami could reunite as a team of disgruntled stars upset with their friends' decisions. They could halt the ongoing Bloodline Civil War by targeting Reigns, Jimmy, and Jey Uso. It also goes without saying that Zayn and Owens share a rich history of their own, and them coming together once again, this time as heels, could have a huge impact on the tag team division.
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn could reignite a longtime feud with Jimmy and Jey Uso on SmackDown
If Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn were to link up as a heel team on SmackDown, it could lead to some compelling stories, not least, the potential of a rivalry with Jimmy and Jey Uso being reignited.
The Usos were the heels the last time the two teams met at WrestleMania 39. The twins dropped the WWE Tag Team Championships to KO and Zayn in the main event on night one.
It would be fascinating to see the roles reversed and The Usos as the babyfaces. The tag division has become exciting following the arrival of SmackDown's newly-crowned tag champions, Motor City Machine Guns.
Adding a reunited Usos and Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn to the division would give it another massive boost. There are several dream matches for MCMG; one would be against one of WWE's all-time greatest tag teams.
For now, Zayn is on RAW and remains a babyface, while KO is on SmackDown, causing trouble. That said, it'll be interesting to see how Jey's comments go down with the Underdog from the Underground.
