Jey Uso made history on the latest episode of RAW after becoming the new Intercontinental Champion. The Yeet Master dethroned Bron Breakker in the main event of RAW and claimed his first singles title in WWE.

14 years after moving to the main roster, Jey Uso now holds a major title as a singles competitor and his accomplishment got high praise from his fellow WWE Superstars and fans.

What is also interesting is that Jey's title win on RAW puts him in the same rank as one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Like The Yeet Master, the first title that The Final Boss won was the Intercontinental Championship.

He claimed it back on February 13, 1997, when he defeated fellow WWE legend Triple H. The Rock had made his main roster debut three months before, on November 4, 1996. Since becoming the Intercontinental Champion, The Great One defended it on multiple occasions, before losing it on April 28, 1997.

As for Jey, fans expect several superstars to step up and try to dethrone him. Over his 14-year career in WWE, Uso has won the tag team titles a total of 10 times.

It remains to be seen whether Bron Breakker demands for a rematch against The Yeet Master.

Jey Uso says he 'deserved' to become the WWE Intercontinental Champion

It was finally Jey Uso's big moment when he won his first singles title in WWE during the latest episode of Monday Night RAW and celebrated with fans in attendance. After his triumph, The Yeet Master shared his excitement about becoming the new Intercontinental Champion and said that it was a title he "deserved" to win.

"I deserved it. I deserved it. Now, first of all, though, I appreciate everyone who’s been on my journey. I’m happy, I’m happy, it happened in front of my home state, California. And I promise I’m a big believer, though, and hard work will always pay off," Jey Uso told wwe.com afterwards, via 411 Mania.

As Jey is expected to kick off RAW next week to celebrate his title victory, fans expect other superstars to step up and challenge him. A rematch with Bron Breakker is a possibility unless the latter decides to go after Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship.

Additionally, Dominik Mysterio should be the first in line for a title shot against Jey, which will allow WWE to create new angles in the storyline between The Yeet Master and The Judgment Day, which, in turn, would also feature The Terror Twins.
