Jey Uso is having an exceptional singles run on WWE RAW. Even though he is yet to win a singles championship, The "YEET" Master's popularity with the crowd remains unmatched. However, there are speculations that the former Bloodline member will soon move to WWE SmackDown for a reunion with Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso.
Interestingly, the Stamford-based promotion might throw a spanner through the speculations by keeping Main Event Jey on Monday Night RAW. Not only is Uso's singles journey adding significant value to his pro-wrestling career but his budding on-screen romance with Rhea Ripley can also materialize into a proper storyline.
Currently, WWE is testing the waters with snippets of Jey Uso and The Eradicator's romance. Triple H has focused on giving fans what they want ever since the new era kicked off, and if the WWE Universe reacts enthusiastically to a long-term on-screen romance between the former Bloodline and Judgment Day members, The Game might move forward with it.
Furthermore, Jey Uso doesn't seem to be too bothered about what is going on with The Bloodline, Roman Reigns, or even his brother Jimmy Uso! He has his priorities straight and has hinted at winning 'Mami' and the Intercontinental Championship. Of course, Triple H will move Jey Uso to SmackDown if the storyline absolutely demands it, but at that point, it can be Paul Heyman who asks Rhea Ripley to convince the 10-time Tag Team Champion to help Roman Reigns.
Roman Reigns draws a connection between his relationship with Jey Uso on-screen and off-screen
The Original Tribal Chief appeared on Bloomberg's Power Players conference with Paul Heyman. The duo touched on numerous subjects, one being Roman Reigns' real-life relationship with Jey Uso and how that affects their on-screen chemistry.
The former Bloodline leader revealed that growing up together has an impact on the emotions that flow inside the ring. Hence, it's not about real-life and reel-life, but a mixture of both.
"It's kind of...you have to have this little perfect threshold of mixing both, you know? Because you want to be able to tap. I'm talking to Jey [Uso], who in real life's name is Josh, grew up with Joe, we grew up together. We have all this chemistry. Our relationship is a lifetime of stuff. So to be able to tap into that, I have to still be present within who I am. But then I have to also sway it towards the performance and what the story is. So, I can connect into very real emotions I've had with Josh and then deliver them as Roman to Jey. If that makes sense. I think I confused the whole room."
Roman Reigns returned to WWE television at SummerSlam 2024 and assisted Cody Rhodes against Solo Sikoa. He was written off after The Bloodline assaulted him on the August 16th, 2024 edition of the show. It seems that The O.T.C. might be returning on the September 13th, 2024 episode when SmackDown moves to USA Network.
