- WWE Hall of famer and former WWE announcer Jim Ross had an interesting blog out this week, and most of it focussed around next year’s Wrestlemania 32, which is set to take place in AT&T Stadium on April 3, 2016.
Below are a few highlights from the post:
WWE prepping for the big event
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Jim Ross expressed interest in seeing how the company would build momentum heading into Wrestlemania 32, which hold the promise to break the all-time record set by WM 3, as it is only a few months away.
Ross expressed confidence in that WWE should be able to fill in 100,000 people in AT&T Stadium at Wrestlemania 32, though he isn’t a big fan of how the WWE title is being treated on TV.
“I can't recall the WWE Title being more 'tepid' than it is right going into the biggest event of the year for WWE. This is not an indictment on Sheamus who I have great respect for and love his work ethic but the title lost a great deal of luster after Seth Rollins suffered an untimely, major knee injury." opined Ross
Huge names coming in for Wrestlemania
When on the topic of big names making an appearance around Wrestlemania season, Ross opined that it was only Goldberg & Batista who seem available to be a part of any WWE storyline.
Ross is firm that the wrestling days of Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin are over and it makes little sense for them to return for a single match, while The Rock & Ronda Rousey would be busy with their movie commitments.
For those that think that Austin and HBK would do 'one more match' for the right money, please, just stop it." said the Hall of famer.
Daniel Bryan returning to in-ring action
Ross is of the opinion that WWE’s Medical Head Dr. Joe Maroon is someone, who understand the wrestlers’ lifestyle and the medical implications of getting back in the ring after an injury. His opinion is all that counts, as per Jim.
“If I was still in charge of WWE roster, I'd go strictly on what Dr. Maroon says.", concluded Ross.
