Before Wrestlemania 31, it was reported that former WWE ringside announcer Jim Ross attended NXT’s Live Event. This led to rumours of a possible WWE return as it was noted that the Hall of Famer wouldn’t usually be attending WWE events, but he was appearing after a long time.
Ross stated that it was news to him at the time. But now, Good Ol’ JR has commented on his future as he spoke to ABC News in Baltimore to promote his upcoming one-man show:
"Everyone thinks I just walked away from WWE. But it takes two to make a deal. You never say never in this business. If the right deal is there, I'll hear what anyone has to say. But right now, I'm really enjoying what I'm doing and can't wait to meet the fans in Baltimore."
Regarding WWE employee cuts, we noted earlier how it’s believed there will be some WWE releases now that WrestleMania 31 is over. It was said this week that some talents feel they are “walking on egg shells” because of the expected cuts. It’s unknown whether or not there will be mass releases like previous years but they’re not out of the question.
