Joe Hendry is one of the handful of TNA stars who appeared on WWE NXT as part of the partnership between both companies. He recently made his presence known again, and it looks like it won't be the last time.
This weekend, WWE NXT Heatwave in Canada closed with a highly exciting four-way match for the NXT Championship. Ethan Page was the crowned winner after defeating former titleholder Trick Williams and two other superstars, Je'Von Evans and Shawn Spears. However, another talking point for fans after the show was the short clip of Joe Hendry as the event closed. From the looks of it, the TNA star could continue making his presence known in this way.
According to Corey Brennan of Fightful Select, sources from NXT stated that Joe Hendry will likely be used 'heavily' during the Tuesday show and TNA's crossover in the coming months. Sources stated that the Stamford-based promotion is focusing on Joe's ability to go viral, even through small teases.

Sources also indicated that more blink of an eye or sudden teases are set for the Scottish star as his next appearance for NXT builds. When asked if the developmental brand is interested in him once his deal with TNA expires, sources stated that WWE answered, "Who wouldn't?"
It was also shared that while Joe Hendry was teased during the premium live event in Canada, he wasn't in Toronto and competed in Glasgow, Scotland on Saturday.
What happened during Joe Hendry's first WWE NXT appearance?
The 36-year-old generated a lot of buzz on social media before even appearing in WWE, which is why his eventual appearance on the Tuesday show became one of the most viewed videos of the company this year. However, his appearance wasn't the most successful.
On the June 18, 2024, episode of NXT, Joe participated in a Number 1 Contender Battle Royal for the NXT Title. However, he was immediately eliminated, but he made sure to let Shawn Michaels and everybody else know afterward that he would return to the company.
"Oh, and if it isn't Shawn Michaels. Was that your idea out there? 24 men against me. Joe Hendry vs. NXT. Well, you know what, Shawn, I can show up anywhere, anytime, on any show. All you gotta do is say this name,"
It'll be interesting to see when fans get to see the TNA star again on the Stamford-based promotion.
