At Money in the Bank 2024, John Cena made an appearance and announced he would be having his retirement run next year. Since this announcement, fans have been speculating about different scenarios the leader of Cenation can be involved in.

While there are many scenarios WWE can book Cena, there is a chance the promotion might book him to win his 17th World Championship. Currently tied with Ric Flair at 16, there is a possibility Cena could beat his most iconic rival Randy Orton to win his 17th World Title.

On RAW's recent episode, The Viper appeared and challenged Gunther to a World Heavyweight Championship match at Bash in Berlin. Gunther was quick to accept this challenge by Orton. While many think of this contest as a one-time match, WWE could book it to be a proper feud between the two.

Throughout this feud, Gunther and Orton could have a series of matches, with the latter having the last laugh and winning the title. Once that's done, John Cena could appear next year and win the World Heavyweight Championship from his most iconic rival, Randy Orton.

In doing so, not only will WWE book Cena to win his record-breaking 17th World Championship, but they will also be booking Orton to win his 15th World Title. It will be interesting to see if something along these lines takes place in the time to come.

WWE CCO Triple H gave an update on John Cena's retirement tour

Since John Cena announced his retirement tour, the wrestling world has been captivated by the announcement. Several WWE fans want to know what WWE has in store for the retirement tour of one of their most iconic superstars. Recently, Triple H gave an update on the same.

In the press conference after SummerSlam, Sportskeeda Wrestling's Bill Apter asked The Game for an update on Cena's retirement tour. Triple H said:

"He's going to come back soon. I don't remember exactly what we said or what he said. John has earned the right in his career to do whatever he wants, when he wants and I'm happy to be there for him. I believe it is the beginning of the year, John will come back. And it's sort of like the farewell tour that has an end to it, and John is going to come back and just have a blast like he always does. He's going to come back and be there for the Royal Rumble, so that will be his last Royal Rumble."

HHH further added:

"He will be there for the Elimination Chamber. He will be there for Wrestlemania. That will be his last Wrestlemania. Then it will continue and by the end of 2025, that will be the end of John Cena. Not in WWE, not in Hollywood for sure, or anything else that he decides to do, but it will be the end of seeing John Cena competitive and active in the ring." [1:14:22 - 1:15:34]
