- John Cena, who opted for a short sabbatical after Hell In a Cell, spoke about life outside the franchise during an interview with FOX.
Cena, while on a break from filming his new reality show – American Grit, expressed his opinion about the outpour of reactions from his fans as well as highly creative memes based on him.
While speaking about the different Cena memes and fan reactions that are currently flooding the internet, the wrestler stated that he was quite pleased by them and was quoted as saying, “You never take it personal. … I can either roll with the punches and keep the tidal wave going or I can pitch a fit, and that’s pretty much where it stops.”
American Grit, where Cena also serves as an executive producer, is all set to air sometime in 2016, and the 38-year-old spoke about how the show, which features distinguished military personnel as coaches as well as several experienced competitors, impacted as well as humbled him.
Cena naturally has a lot of respect for his colleagues on the show and stated, “I’ve never felt so inferior in my life.”
These are some heavy words coming from a man who’s won 24 Championships, is the role model of thousands of children, the record wish granter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation and who’s rightly considered as the poster boy of WWE.
- In other news, WWE diva Lana, who’s currently out of action due to an injury she picked up while practicing for a live event which ruled her out for four months, is currently back in training at the WWE Performance Centre.
However, she’s not training to make her comeback in the ring, despite being given a clean bill of health, but just lifting weights to maintain her fitness.
The diva is currently in the wrong books of the WWE top brass due to her leaked real life engagement to Miroslav Barnyashev aka Rusev as well as her unflattering comments on social media, directed towards her peers, which has earned her a lot of heat.
