John Cena will kick off his retirement tour on January 6, 2025, when Monday Night RAW moves to Netflix. It will be a blockbuster show, and WWE fans are eager to see what The Cenation Leader will do in the first stop of his farewell tour.
The 16-time World Champion could return as a heel for the first time in over two decades and re-ignite his feud with another top star, CM Punk.
The Best in the World used one of Cena's vintage moves during his match against Ludwig Kaiser at a WWE Live Event in New York on Thursday. This move by Punk could hint that he will be one of John Cena's first opponents in his farewell tour.
The 16-time World Champion could interfere in the CM Punk vs. Seth Rollins match on the RAW premiere on Netflix, costing The Best in the World the match against his rival and setting the stage for a match at Royal Rumble on February 1, which will be Cena's last one in WWE.
WWE not excited about a John Cena vs. Logan Paul match at WrestleMania 41
Logan Paul will make his return to WWE after a five-month hiatus and will become part of Monday Night RAW on Netflix. The former United States Champion wants to face the top stars in the red brand and has shared his desire to fight John Cena.
Even though WWE Creative recently discussed the idea, it appears that they are not so excited about it. WrestleVotes posted that WWE is not in favor of Cena's final match at 'Mania against the YouTube star.
"Sources indicate recent rumors of Logan Paul vs. John Cena at WrestleMania have, at the very least, been discussed. However, the idea has been met with resounding disapproval from several within creative. The general feeling is that this shouldn’t be Cena’s final WrestleMania match," WrestleVotes reported.
The RAW premiere on Netflix could shed more light on the likelihood of a Cena vs. Paul match, but fans may consider it a no-brainer that it will not happen at WrestleMania 41.
