John Cena made a shocking return to WWE during the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event tonight. He wore his new merchandise branded, "The Last Time is Now."
Cena praised the crowd in Toronto and announced that Canada was the right place to announce his official in-ring retirement. He stated that his long and storied career would come to an end in 2025, with more details to be shared in the post-show press conference.

Cena acknowledged that WWE's product was indeed hot right now and that he couldn't miss the opportunity to be part of it when RAW moved to Netflix early next year. He mentioned that alongside many history-making firsts, there would also be many lasts.
John Cena announced that the Royal Rumble next year would be his final appearance in the event, the Elimination Chamber in the coming year would also be his last, and that Wrestlemania 41 in Las Vegas would be his last at the Grandest Stage of Them All.
However, during the press conference at the end of the show, Cena revealed that his farewell tour would potentially run from January to December of 2025 and that he would try to get in as many dates as possible in the next calendar year.

John Cena announced that he will officially retire from in-ring competition next year. Having been the face of the company for over two decades, Cena undoubtedly has his name etched in professional wrestling history.
During Money in the Bank, Triple H shared a backstage clip on X (formerly Twitter), where he can be seen greeting Cena, with the caption "The Greatest of All Time."
"The Greatest of All Time. @JohnCena #MITB," Triple H wrote.

In his announcement, Cena revealed that they are planning something unforgettable for the fans during his Farewell Tour, with Triple H presumably playing a significant role as the Head of Creative.
It will be interesting to see what the Stamford-based company has planned for the leader of Cenation moving forward.
