John Cena kicked off his farewell tour this week on WWE RAW. Several names are being thrown around about who he will face this year, and many superstars have thrown their names into the mix. Interestingly, one star took a different approach.

At the 2024 Money in the Bank PLE, John Cena announced that 2025 is the end of his time as an in-ring superstar. This week on WWE RAW, he appeared to welcome fans, address his possible final opponents during his farewell tour, and then announced his desire to win the Royal Rumble to earn himself a Championship match. While his appearance and eventual involvement in the company excite many, that wasn't the case for Dominik Mysterio.

While on Busted Open Radio, Dominik Mysterio called Cena and The Rock "old heads" and claimed he didn't like them just jumping on the train when they saw something cool. Following this comment, the two-time North American Champion may have gotten the attention of The Cenation Leader.

John hasn't wrestled for a while, as compared to Dominik who has been one of the most active stars in the Stamford-based promotion in the past few years. Cena can get used to the ring again with somebody like Mysterio. It also helps that both men already faced each other last year during a dark match.

The two men also share a personal history. As many may know, John and Rey Mysterio have a close friendship, but Cena also coached Dominik when he was just beginning his WWE career. Adding this personal element to the feud would be a nice touch to make their feud more interesting.

Is Dominik Mysterio interested in challenging John Cena?

Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and Randy Orton are just some of the names who challenged John for his farewell tour. Another name that joins this list is none other than Dominik.

While talking with Fox News in August last year, Dominik challenged John for a match at WrestleMania. Mysterio noted that they have a history with each other and would want to air his anger against Cena.

"And as far as 'Mania goes, I’m open for anything. John Cena wants to come in and get his a** whooped at ‘Mania, I’m here for it. I have some history with him, and I definitely would love to air some anger out on him. If he’s willing to step in the ring with me, I’m more than willing to step in the ring with him. So, we’ll just see where that goes come ‘Mania."
