John Cena unveiled as the cover superstar of WWE 2K15 game

WWE star John Cena has been unveiled as the new face of the WWE 2K15 game. 2K sports revealed the cover on their official Twitter account.

Following his heroics at Money In The Bank, where he was crowned the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion, Cena was the favourite to be the face of the new WWE game. Since his debut in 2002, the FU star has gone on to establish himself as the face of the WWE industry. And being the face of the new WWE 2K game is just another addition to his legacy.

The official announcement was made a day after Cena outclassed Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, Sheamus, Kane, Alberto Del Rio, Bray Wyatt and Cesaro in the ring to win the World Heavyweight title at Money In The Bank. Being cheered by his home crowd of Massachusetts, Cena sealed his 15th World Championship.

The newly crowned champion took to Twitter to thank his fans. The 37-year-old was also aware of Cena haters and urged his Cenation brigade to support him since 'the champ is here'.

Former Heavyweight champ and WWE legend Hulk Hogan is also a member of the Cenation. The American hero took to Twitter to congratulate his colleague and friend Cena on his new title.

WWE 2K15 will be using advanced head-scanning technology for the first time in order to come up with better graphics. NBA 2K, another game from the 2K franchise, this technology that makes the athletes look as close to the real thing. WWE 2K15 has now decided to use the same technology to come up with life-like graphics.

At the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3 Expo) from June 10-12 this year at Los Angeles, WWE provided a sneak peek of its new 2K15 edition. Other than facial screening technology, 2K15 will also use improved lighting techniques. According to Chris Snyder, senior marketing director at 2K Sports, improved lighting will help depict a more live atmosphere at the ring. "With WWE superstars like Daniel Bryan you can see how the lighting effects bring a completely different look to the character model's skin texture and beard," said Snyder.

The game will be launched on the 28th of October in North America and on the 31st of the same month in Europe for PS3, Xbox360, PS4 and Xbox One.
