On the latest episode of Monday Night RAW, Johnny Gargano collided with IMPERIUM's Giovanni Vinci in a singles match.
Last week on the show, the former NXT Champion competed in a singles match against Ludwig Kaiser, and he lost the bout after Vinci's interference. The former's new partner Tommaso Ciampa was taken out by IMPERIUM during a backstage segment, and he wasn't medically cleared.
During the match on RAW this week, Giovanni Vinci sent Gargano into the turnbuckles and hit him with a corner shoulder block followed by a few blows. The latter tried to fight back, but he was stopped and taken out with a knee to the spine, two backbreakers, and an overhead throw.
Vinci kicked Johnny Gargano in the face while the latter was on the apron, and Johhny Wrestling countered with a slingshot spear. Ludwig Kaiser, who was at ringside, tried to distract Gargano, and Vinci attacked him from behind. He then went for a powerbomb, but the babyface escaped and took him down with a superkick.
Tomasso Ciampa returned and took out Ludwig Kaiser at ringside. Johnny Gargano then hit Giovanni Vinci with the One Final Beat to emerge victorious.
