What's the story?
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are getting featured in the "Fight Forever" storyline launched by Boom Studios in collaboration with WWE this summer.
In case you didn't know
WWE and Boom Studios launched first WWE comic book in January 2018. The comic has been created and written by Dennis Hopeless, Ross Thibodeaux, Rob Guillory, Eduard Petrovich, Ryan Ferrier, Michael Kingston, AJ Styles, Kevin Panetta and Dan Mora. The comic features some of the marvelous stories of the WWE.
The heart of the matter
WWE uploaded a video on their official website which features Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn sharing their pleasure of being getting featured in the Boom Studios comics WWE #18 titled "Fight Forever". The duo also declared themselves as the two greatest stars in the World Wrestling Entertainment.
“Finally the two greatest superstars in WWE history are being featured in a WWE comic book series."
Sami and Owens can be seen mocking the comic's creative team for taking too long to feature them and also criticized the creative team for being in favor of Shield and Samoa Joe.
After two years, two years, of being screwed over by Dennis Hopeless, Serg Acuña, Doug Garbark, Jim Campbell, Eric Harburn and Chris Rosa. After all this time being ignored in favor of The Shield, huh huh huh huh, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, the Women’s Evolution. Okay, they deserve it. Good. They’re cool. But everyone else step aside, because June’s WWE #18, BOOM! Studios has finally come to their senses to bring you a new story called Fight Forever where Sami and Kevin.”
The WWE #18 will feature the storyline regarding the reunion of Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens during the 2017 WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. The storyline will go behind the scenes and show how Owens convinced Sami to put an end to their long rivalry.
What's next?
The print edition of the comic will be available from June 2018 from local shops or Boom studios outlets. The electronic copies can also be purchased for the content providers including iBooks, Google Play, and the BOOM! Studios app.
Author's take
Personally, I am very excited for the WWE #18 to get released. It would be interesting to know what made Zayn get along with his longtime enemy Owens and how it happened.
