At Bash in Berlin, Kevin Owens faced his friend Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. This match was crucial for Owens given that he was going up against a highly-rated champion, and also because the Canadian hasn't won a singles title since 2017.

However, while Owens gave his all, he could not get the job done against The American Nightmare. This failure in the capital of Germany has led many to question what The Prizefighter will do ahead on SmackDown.

In this article, we will look at four things Kevin Owens can do after his loss to Cody Rhodes at Bash in Berlin:

#4. Kevin Owens can quit WWE

As mentioned above, Kevin Owens has not won a singles title since 2017. Also, in his match against Cody Rhodes, it felt like Owens lacked the instinct to finish his opponent and win the title. These reasons could force Owens to announce he is quitting the Stamford-based promotion.

While Owens' contract ends in early 2025, WWE can create an angle around KO leaving the promotion, spending some time away, and returning stronger than ever. It will be interesting to see if the Canadian superstar does something along these lines.

#3. Turns heel on SmackDown next week

In his match against Cody Rhodes, many were expecting to see Kevin Owens turn heel during or after the bout. However, none of that happened and Owens instead hugged Rhodes following his defeat. But this respect he showed the champion could turn into hatred and anger on SmackDown next week.

On the upcoming episode of the blue brand, The Prizefighter could turn heel and brutally attack Cody Rhodes. He could target the champion's bad knee and make him suffer.

#2. Rematch with Cody Rhodes at Bad Blood

If Kevin Owens turns heel and attacks Rhodes on SmackDown, then this would lead to a rivalry and a potential rematch between Owens and Rhodes which could take place at the Bad Blood Premium Live Event in October.

Given Owens and Rhodes will most likely have bad blood between them if the former turns heel, the PLE will then be able to capture the essence of the rivalry perfectly. It will also be interesting to see how would a heel KO do against The American Nightmare.

#1. Go after the United States Championship

Even if Kevin Owens turns heel and tries everything to beat Cody Rhodes, there is a chance he would still end up on the losing side. Hence, after turning heel, The Prizefighter could take a different approach and go after LA Knight to challenge him for the United States Championship.

Since Owens has not won a singles title since 2017 and it does not seem like he will be winning the Undisputed WWE Championship, he can end the seven-year streak by winning the US Title. A United States Championship match between Knight and Owens will also be interesting to watch.
