Kevin Owens has Triple H’s backing?

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Kevin Owens stood up to Bill DeMott as soon as he arrived at NXT, though he had heat because it was basically his relationship with Triple H that kept him from DeMott’s wrath.

Owens reportedly ignored the match DeMott laid out for him and CJ Parker at NXT R-Evolution, and instead did many of his “indy” spots. When DeMott reprimanded him, Owens went to Triple H who said “Owens can do what he wants in the ring.”

Because many other NXT wrestlers are not favored by Triple H there was some heat on Owens. It was seen as a situation where he could wrestle without restrictions, getting him over, while they had to work the “WWE style.” If they stood up to DeMott, they’d probably end up fired.
