It seems that WWE disrespected Roman Reigns this Monday on RAW during a segment between the reigning Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and the current World Heavyweight Champion Gunther.
During the segment, the Ring General praised the American Nightmare, saying that WWE is in a 'boom period' and Cody Rhodes has carried the company on his back.
"This company… is in a boom period… and it’s all built on your back," Gunther told Cody Rhodes, as the two superstars are preparing for their Crown Jewel Championship Match in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on November 2.
Still, WWE disrespected Roman Reigns, as he was the one who carried the company through the struggling COVID-19 era. The Original Tribal Chief came back in August 2020 and became the Universal Champion.
He held the title for a record 1,316 days and defeated every opponent that stepped up and challenged him, while his Tribal Chief persona helped him become one of the all-time best in WWE.
In between, despite being a heel, he became a fan favorite, and did a great job keeping fans' interest intact. He lost his title to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, allowing the American Nightmare to finish his story, with the American Nightmare becoming the face of WWE in the new era.
Roman Reigns set to appear on SmackDown this Friday
Following an assault from Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline 2.0, Roman Reigns is scheduled to appear on SmackDown this Friday night to address the incident and take another shot at his former Enforcer.
With Jimmy Uso also back, Roman Reigns knows that he will need help to defeat the new version of The Bloodline, but it is still unclear who will step up and come to his aid ahead of the Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event, where the faction's civil war is expected to reach its peak.
As for the next premium live event, Crown Jewel, it is unclear if Reigns will show up, but if he does, the expectation is that he will face Solo Sikoa 1-on-1, adding more fuel to a rivalry that is expected to reach its peak at Survivor Series before The Rock's comeback in early January. The Final Boss returned at Bad Blood and is seemingly set for another run heading into WrestleMania 41.
