#2 Ken Shamrock
Another missed opportunity for Kurt Angle. As Kurt Angle made his official in-ring debut, Ken Shamrock had already left the company. Ken Shamrock was probably one of the most legitimate fighters in the WWE at the time and was first to use the ankle lock submission hold.
Ken Shamrock had some of the best matches in the WWE during the attitude era going up against Shawn Michaels, Steve Austin, Bret Hart, and The Rock. It's unfortunate that he never came to WWE, opting to restart his UFC and MMA career.
Last June, Kurt Angle actually said last year that he wanted to return to WWE and face Kurt Angle in the ring. He stated in that interview,
I have tried to toss that little seed out there for a while. Kurt has always been that guy to have wanted to create the opportunity when he was wrestling, but for whatever reason it never happened.A guy who actually brought it in versus a guy who brought it in and thought he made it better, so we can find out who the real submission artist is.
The World's Most Dangerous Man vs The Olympic Gold Medalist. We can dig it!!!!
