LA Knight must be on cloud nine right now. Having finally won his first title on the main roster, The Megastar heads into this week's SmackDown as the new United States Champion. He defeated Logan Paul at SummerSlam 2024. That said, Knight could be in for a rude awakening on the blue brand, as he could be arrested.
Now, getting jumped in the middle of the ring or being attacked backstage is one thing, but being arrested seems like a stretch. Well, should this come to pass, LA Knight will have Logan Paul to thank, as The Maverick might warrant his arrest. For context, Paul has already filed a lawsuit against The Megastar for theft and property damage.
Before his triumph at The Biggest Party of The Summer, the newly crowned US Champion stole Paul's Prime Truck on SmackDown. Following this, he arrived at the Cleveland Browns Stadium in the same truck and proceeded to smash its window. Later, the YouTuber took to his Twitter (X) account to reveal that he had filed a lawsuit against his SummerSlam opponent. Knowing Knight, he will likely ignore the legal repercussions, which could inevitably lead to him getting arrested on this week's episode of the blue brand.
Former WWE writer buries Judgment Day HERE
Of course, this will be nothing more than a trick from The Maverick as he looks to further his rivalry with The Megastar. With that in mind, it wouldn't be surprising if the latter walked scot-free and confronted the social media sensation by the end of the night.
That said, this is nothing more than speculation, and there is no telling what this week's episode of the Friday Night Show has in store for the WWE Universe.
LA Knight was surprisingly congratulated by an AEW star following his SummerSlam victory
Following his victory at SummerSlam, The Megastar posted a celebratory picture with the belt on Twitter (X). One of the first pro wrestlers to react to his post was none other than AEW's John Morrison.
Responding to Knight's post, Morrison congratulated LA Knight and expressed his delight at the SmackDown Superstar finally winning championship gold on WWE's main roster. Morrison's comment came as a surprise considering the heated rivalry between WWE and AEW.
Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how LA Knight fares in his title reign.
